    We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. Creation Technologies is a high complex, low volume electronics contract manufacturing company with 14 operating locations across Canada, the U.S., Mexico and China.

    Reporting to the Regional Accounting Leader, the Accountant is responsible for recording, analyzing, and reporting of all financial data related to the business unit, preparing financial/summary reports, and participate in various BU initiatives. This position also works with the rest of the accounting team to support process and reporting standardization, and control review and enhancement to ensure that we continue to provide high quality and accurate reporting in the very efficient and effective way while safeguard the company's asset. The successful candidate is someone who has in-depth knowledge and experience in manufacturing costing, financial reporting under IFRS, and can tailor its communication depending on the topic and audience.

    Responsibilities

    • Managing accounting records with a strong focus on manufacturing costing and general accounting
    • Prepare detailed weekly/monthly management reports and working files for operations, with an emphasis on manufacturing job costing, standard cost, and variance analysis (job close variance, purchase price variance, invoice price variance, labor variance, etc)
    • Compile and analyze financial information for ledger entries and business transaction documentation
    • Conduct monthly financial close, reporting, and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in cost-related entries
    • Implement and refine accounting and internal controls, with a particular focus on manufacturing and costing processes
    • Maintain and optimize the Chart of Accounts and financial reporting structure to reflect manufacturing cost considerations accurately
    • Analyz e , interpret, and explain results to budget, forecast, and standard cost
    • Prepare revenue, expense, payroll , a nd other accounting transactions
    • Engage with internal and external auditors, providing expert insights into control and process deficiencies and r ecommendations for improvements
    • Other duties assigned

    Experience

    • Good working knowledge of IFRS
    • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience within at least 3 years working in a dynamic manufacturing environment
    • Minimum 2 years of dedicated cost accounting experience , especially in manufacturing job costing, standard cost, and variance analysis
    • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior business leaders, with a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations
    • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills, with a strong ability to measure and communicate financial performance, particularly in manufacturing cost analysis
    • Proven track record as a key member of a high-performance accounting team in a manufacturing setting
    • Experience with Tier1 ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) is preferred

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor's degree, Accounting /Business major is preferable
    • Professio nal accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)
    • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $90k-$105k CAD per year. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift.
