    Description
    IKON Complete Inc. is a Recruitment & Search Firm specializing in identifying, & sourcing top performers for our clientele. Our clients include industry leading organizations who partner with us to be an extension of their HR & Recruitment function.
    Position: BuyerLocation: Oakville, ONSalary: $60,000 - $70,000 Per YearIndustry: Manufacturing / Machining / Welding / Assembly / MaterialsEmployment Term: Full Time / Permanent
    Roles & Responsibilities:
    • Source and procure materials, components and services required for production in accordance with company policies and procedures
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings
    • Monitor inventory levels and manage inventory control processes to minimize excess inventory and stockouts
    • Identify potential suppliers and conduct supplier assessments to assess capabilities and sustainability for partnership
    • Stay informed on industry trends, industry developments and regulatory requirements that may impact procurement strategies
    • Participate in cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement by maintaining KPI metrics
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications & Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree or Post Secondary education in Supply Chain and Operations or equivalent
    • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management working as a Buyer/ Planner in a manufacturing setting
    • Experience with ERP systems is required
    • Exceptional negotiation and computer skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
    • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
