    Description

    What you will do:

    The Biomedical Sciences and Health Regulation Cluster is looking for an experienced industry expert and academic to support the build and teaching of courses across the cluster in a varietyof theory and/or laboratory courses. The Biomedical Sciences and Health Regulation Cluster offers a range of programs from diplomas, degrees to graduate certificates.

    The successful candidate will work as a collaborative team member to support course development and instruction through the creation and delivery of all course content including lectures, laboratory experiments (where applicable), evaluations and other deliverables.

    Qualifications

    What you bring to the role:

    Education:

    The successful incumbent requires a PhD in cellular biology, anatomy, physiology/pathophysiology or equivalent.

    Experience/Skills:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in post-secondary teaching experience
  • Five (5) or more years of industry or clinical experience with an emphasis on human health, wellness and well-being.
  • The successful candidate will have engaged and effective teaching skills, demonstrated ability to coach and support students, demonstrated experience managing classroom dynamics, strong knowledge and application of current pedagogical principles, a student focused approach and a demonstrated commitment to fostering innovation and positive change.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of principles of equity and inclusion, be a collaborative team player and be committed to a positive team culture.
  • Possess well developed interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills and have demonstrated ability to contribute positively to curriculum development and delivery.
  • Demonstrated initiative, strong written and oral communication skills with a high degree of attention and focus to detail.
