    Reporting into the Canadian Head of Compliance (HOC), the Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting the HOC in the implementation and ongoing oversight of the Canadian based Compliance regime including but not limited to performing regulatory filings, assisting with independent reviews or examinations, and conducting regulatory assurance reviews designed to ensure the program complies with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

    In addition, you will be responsible assisting in the oversight of the Financial Crime Compliance, ensuring that Xe's products and services offered are in compliance with local regulatory obligations and the operations are consistent with regulatory requirements and conditions.

    Regulatory Compliance

    In coordination with the HOC, conducting regulatory assurance reviews designed to provide assurance that the program is in compliance with current legal and regulatory conditions and aligning the business and its operations with future legal and regulatory requirements and conditions;
    Working with responsible parties, responsible for oversight for all money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, and financial crime programs and controls;
    Conducting regulatory reporting and ensuring FIU reporting obligations are met;
    Annually review Compliance policies and draft policy updates for in relation to AML / Compliance obligations;
    Partner with business stakeholders to maintain up to date knowledge and expertise on core business activities and assists in the analysis of proposed business initiatives from a risk based regulatory perspective;
    Strives towards a continuous improvement of the CA compliance function and regulatory assurance.
    Assist with providing guidance into relevant business policies and operational plans impacted by legal, regulatory and risk/compliance issues;
    Support coordination of resources for audit reviews, partner reviews and regulatory risk assessments.
    Support in the review , updating, or drafting of regulatory training material delivered to the business.
    Compliance Governance

    Assist the HOC with ensuring Canadian Compliance polices are up to date and the compliance risks are managed appropriately;
    Compile and present monthly Regulatory Compliance MIs to HOC and Global Head of Risk & Compliance.
    Maintains systems and procedural excellence through regular Compliance assurance monitoring, effective root cause analysis and continuous improvement and acts as Risk Monitor / Individual Controller for nominated risks within the Risk Matrix;
    Raise recommendations to the HOC in relation to policy exceptions and issues escalation.
    Bachelor degree in business, finance, law enforcement , legal studies or a related field. May be substituted with equivalent work experience in Compliance within the financial industry;
    Knowledge of the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA), preferred to have practical work experience assisting Compliance programs in compliance with the PCMLTFA;
