    Business Analyst

    Overview:
    • Currently seeking a Business Analyst with experience in analyzing, identifying, and solving problems impacting business solutions on a large transformational project to join our Ottawa, Ontario team.
    • The selected candidate will collaborate with clients to document their business requirements, processes, and create current/future state maps to support the technical team in developing a solution/product.
    • Additionally, the candidate will learn the SIS to facilitate detailed testing, support the development of training materials, and lead training sessions with end users.


    Key responsibilities include:

    • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for the assigned SIS module, ensuring a comprehensive understanding to fulfill all duties and support business areas in leveraging SIS functions.
    • Evaluating business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective solutions.
    • Participating in configuration workshops, developing process maps, and supporting various activities.
    • Conducting regular reviews of business processes and creating future state process maps.
    • Creating functional specifications, updating documents, and collaborating with team members and consultants.
    • Communicating insights effectively across teams and management.
    • Gathering vital information from stakeholder meetings and generating useful reports.
    • Ensuring solutions align with business requirements.
    • Performing testing and documenting results.
    • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs.
    • Developing training materials and facilitating training sessions for end users.

    Qualifications And Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years as a business analyst;
    • Minimum 3-year post-secondary diploma;
    • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills;
    • Proficiency in documentation;
    • Experience with ERP systems and transformative projects;
    • Experience with Thesis Student Management is a plus
    • Ability to engage stakeholders;
    • Knowledge of back-office processes and process mapping;
    • Experience with IT automation solutions and business process improvement;
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications;
    • Experience in process modeling;
    • Change management experience;
    • Post-secondary environment experience;
    • End-user training experience;
    • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodology;
    • Excellent communication skills;
    • Experience with MS Project and integrated planning preferred;
    • Salesforce and PM experience considered assets.


    Notes:

    • Hybrid Role - Combination of on-site and remote work as required.
