    Our Partner firm, Hamilton and Partners specializes in the Short-term and Long-term Disability arena, focusing on large corporate clients. If you are a positive and team-focused individual who prides yourself in delivering exceptional client service, this may be the job for you The Account Manager provides exceptional client-focused operational support in the management of unique corporate benefit plans. The Account Manager will be assigned a portfolio of key clients, and will be responsible for the day to day management of a variety of general administrative and transactional activities to ensure efficient and timely processing while delivering outstanding client service.

    The Account Manager will:

    • Respond to client inquiries and concerns in a timely manner, applying advanced problem-solving skills to resolve client concerns and challenges, and employing strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients.
    • Acquire a thorough understanding and detailed knowledge of client plans, and provide expertise, education, and guidance to clients to enhance understanding and use of products and services.
    • Perform the initial processing and ongoing management of all employee changes that impact coverage, such as new hires, terminations, name and beneficiary changes, and salary changes.
    • Process and deliver all new insurance policies to employees with appropriate correspondence.
    • Create monthly client bills and reconcile data to employee transaction records.
    • Manage all client payments and balance client financial accounts monthly.
    • Calculate premiums and run financial scenarios for client policy renewals.
    • Ensure that all information from the insurance provider is accurate and processed in a timely manner by performing consistent audits and reconciliations of data.
    • Provide initial submission and ongoing management and monitoring of employee insurance claims to ensure efficient and timely processing.
    • Maintain accurate and up to date client paper & electronic filing systems.
    • Perform general administrative tasks.

Demonstrates business foresight along with the ability to integrate diverse perspectives. Manages projects that improve efficiency with exceptional time management and organizational skills.

It involves having determination in the face of obstacles to set and meet challenging targets and deliver the required business results. Demonstrating a high level of accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in accomplishing day to day work and long term goals.

Seek to understand and build on differing perspectives of others to enhance team efficiency and quality outcomes. Continually work to support a positive team environment. To possess a positive and fun-loving personality who enjoys working hard, having fun, and laughing along the way.
    • To be Metrics Oriented – Effectively use data to build, deliver, and translate tactile information into trends and meaningful insights for senior leaders and demonstrate good critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Advanced technical skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
    • Communication – Have excellent written and verbal communication skills (preferably in both French & English), communicate clearly with purpose, and adapt communication style appropriately to create persuasion and consensus building. Effectively collaborate with senior executive stakeholders and their teams.

    All-star candidates will have:

    • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Commerce or Business Administration
    • Bilingual (French and English) considered an asset
    • 3 years + working with corporate health benefit plans
    • License in insurance (Life and Accident & Sickness) is a requirement of the position, expectation is the candidate would hold the license or work towards completion within the first year of employment.
