- Responsibilities for coordination and administration of multiple research projects
- Develop study documents such as informed consent documents, questionnaires, databases (including REDCap), and promotional materials and ensure documents follow institutional requirements and Research Ethics Board templates for the assigned projects
- Interact directly with study participants to coordinate study visits, perform screening and functional tests and administer questionnaires as required.
- Oversee questionnaire and imaging data collection
- Maintain REDCap database and image storage
- Developing, writing and maintaining lab standard operating procedures (SOP), and coordinating with other members to collect and organize data
- Health sciences or related discipline (neurosciences, psychology, biomedical sciences etc)
- Experience with neuroimaging, specifically MRI, is highly desirable
- Direct research experience working with children and/or adults is desirable
- Knowledge of research methods and recruitment of participants
- Advanced skills with data collection software (RedCap)
- Experience with the University of Calgary's human ethics portal (IRISS) and knowledge of research ethics and regulations is desirable
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, be pro-active and self-directed
- Requires schedule flexibility as will need to accommodate schedules of research volunteers
- Communication, organization, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

The Department of Radiology in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Research Assistant. This Full-time Fixed Term position is for approximately 12 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.
Reporting to the Principal Investigator.
The Research focuses on brain imaging but includes complementary data collection approaches to study clinical and developmental conditions as well as the brain.
