    Sinn Studio Inc.

    is leading the charge in VR combat games Debut game, Swordsman, is a physics-based combat game where you can slash your way through medieval earth to become the ultimate Swordsman.

    Having won multiple awards like Game of the Year in 2022, Best Swordfighting Game in 2020 and more.

    Sinn Studio is on the lookout for an Intermediate Concept Artist to join our team As a Concept Artist, this role informs our projects' visual narrative with creativity and precision.

    Concept Art is pivotal in bringing immersive worlds to life with expressive simplicity.

    A keen eye for detail and effective grasp of fundamental skills, this role helps elevate our artistic standards, captivating audiences with enchanting characters and breathtaking settings.

    Create detailed designs that adhere to a high-quality standard based on provided briefs.
    Produce sketches and iterations efficiently, utilizing both traditional and digital methods.
    Use 2D and/or 3D assets to develop architectural, prop, character, and environmental designs.
    Provide lighting and compositional framing with XR sensibilities.
    Generate original and imaginative concept art to inspire the team and establish the game's tone and atmosphere.
    Refine concept art to detailed illustrations, adding layers of depth and detail.
    Communicate project vision through sketches, illustrations, and other assets.
    Collaborate closely with leadership and the Creative Director to align with the game's vision.
    Pitch concepts for locations, key moments, and aesthetics that define the game world.
    Contribute innovative ideas to enhance all aspects of game production.
    Deliver artwork on schedule, adapting to feedback and evolving project needs.
    Create high-quality art assets that engage players and align with industry trends.
    Stay updated on industry trends and player preferences to ensure art remains captivating.
    Optimize art assets for various devices and technical constraints.
    Strong drawing skills, specializing in concept design, with a solid grasp of anatomy, costuming, and historical references.
    ~ Familiarity with cinematic, XR, and gaming visual language:
    ~ Knowledgeable in architectural elements and capable of designing realistic environments.
    ~ Proven track record of delivering projects on time, showcasing reliability and commitment.
    ~ Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Photoshop.
    ~ Ability to articulate ideas, designs, and creative processes effectively (ie. Creative and curious nature, demonstrating open-mindedness and flexibility in approach.
    ~ Strong organizational skills, paying close attention to detail and maintaining high quality standards.

    Post-secondary education in Fine Arts, Illustration, or other related fields.
    Proficiency in 3d industry standard applications such as Zbrush, 3DS Max, Substance painter, and Maya.
    An authentic understanding and passion about games / working in the industry.

    Salary Range:
    $65-80,000 CAD annually + 3 weeks vacation, sick days, employer paid benefits (except LTD), Employee Assistance Program, wellness days, birthday day off, Employee Stock Options (ESOP) coming in 2024, and more.
    As of the time of this posting, Sinn Studio lists the projected base salary range in good faith


    Office Location:
    Liberty Village, Toronto

    Preference will be given to local candidates or those who are willing to relocate to the Greater Toronto Area to work in a hybrid model with two days in office collaborating with local team members and our founders.
