    Our client is a dynamic player in the M&A space, specializing in acquiring SaaS-based companies. They invest in and operate B2B software companies for the long-haul across dozens of industry segments and geographies. With a strategic focus on identifying and acquiring high-potential targets, our client is at the forefront of driving growth and innovation in the software industry.

    Description:

    Our client is seeking a driven and experienced Senior Associate to join their Business Development team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in sourcing, developing relationships, and analyzing potential acquisition targets within the SaaS sector.

    • Utilize a diverse range of online and offline channels to identify acquisition targets aligning with internal criteria.
    • Proactively initiate and cultivate relationships with founder-owners, management teams, and intermediaries through a combination of cold calls, digital outreach, and in-person meetings.
    • Maintain and update the M&A database by inputting new targets and meticulously documenting call notes and activities.
    • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM is essential for effective management of tasks and communications.
    • Conduct thorough research encompassing product, market, company, and financial analysis to evaluate potential acquisition targets.
    • Collaborate closely with the Aquila corporate development team to screen and assess relevant software acquisition opportunities in both private and public markets.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to compile and present comprehensive analyses.

    Qualifications:

    • 2-5 years of progressive professional experience, with a focus on one of the following areas:
    • Outbound-focused software/technology high-volume business development or sales.
    • Proven track record of successfully executing business development strategies and achieving targets.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated individual with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
