    We are currently looking for a highly motivated and committed Learning and Development Coordinator to join Surex's team in a remote capacity.

    GoalsThe primary role of the Learning and Development Coordinator is to develop, deliver, and maintain a Learning and Development program for Surex.

    The Learning and Development Coordinator will collaborate with Management and Subject Matter Experts (SME's) of varying departments to ensure accuracy and consistency of training materials.

    It is also the Coordinator's duty to track and determine where gaps may be appearing in performance and adjust training programs as necessary to address this.

    Learning and Development Coordinators will not only provide vital onboarding training but will also partner with SME's to facilitate additional training throughout the year.

    Learning and Development Coordinators must provide a clear understanding of what training will be required for an employee to progress (or transfer internally), and where to find the resources necessary to meet these goals.


    Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Develop, deliver, and maintain programs and curriculum for various Surex departments fromorientation to in-job training
    • Utilize software and web-based tools to create and deliver training remotely across Canada
    • Collaborate with Management and SME's in all areas of Surex to ensure lesson consistency,identify training needs, and create training materials
    • Organize and facilitate monthly info training sessions outside of standard training for internalprocesses or software (ie. Sales Training, Dayforce Training, ect)
    • Deliver insight to employees as to the training required to move forward with their career goals
    • Offer recommendations as to where employees will find additional training resources outside ofSurex
    • Analyze the effectiveness of training and monthly workshops to the employees and suggestappropriate modifications to processes as needed
    • Schedule the appropriate training sessions for employees as they are onboarded, and as theyrequire additional training
    • Work with Management in developing systems to monitor and ensure employees are performing their responsibilities according to the training
    • Ensure employee and content compliance to Surex's corporate standards and proceduresduring training sessions
    • Provide support and mentoring for new employees while conducting an evaluation andidentifying gaps where improvements are needed
    • Remain flexible to changes as Surex and learning needs adjust over time

    Other duties as assigned by managementQualifications & Skills:

    • A minimum of 5 years experience working as a Licensed Insurance Broker (Level 1 or 2) inCanada or training insurance brokers
    • A minimum of 3 years working with and implementing a Learning Management System (LMS)
    • Ability to utilize content creation tools/software in order to build and maintain learning framework and training content
    • Prior experience as a coach or a mentor to a team or corporation
    • Familiarity with software/systems and carrier's portals commonly used in insurance, it would beconsidered an asset to have experience with Power Broker and Dayforce.
    • Top notch organizational skills, especially with scheduling and facilitating lessons
    • Experience in delivering remote training successfully
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-starter who can learn on the fly and create learning content as they gather new information
