    Overall Accountability

    The Applications Support Analyst is responsible for providing initial support for system applications to users in departments and schools. This includes offering top-notch customer service, handling user requests, and resolving issues.

    Specific Accountabilities

    • Provides initial call management, resolution, and escalations
    • Conducts in-depth analysis for complex issues related to various applications
    • Offers information and guidance to users on system functions and operations, as well as introductory training on applications
    • Generates adhoc reports, assists in documenting and maintaining software functions, processes, and procedures
    • Aids in monitoring application data integrity using various tools for account management, data validation, and cleanup
    • Guides schools in managing digital student records, emphasizing administrative procedures and formal records processes

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • At least one year of experience in system application support, preferably in a call center setting
    • One year of experience and functional knowledge related to current Calgary Catholic applications preferred
    • Three years of experience with PowerSchool, CLASI, and Brightspace is preferred
    • Experience with an information technology issue tracking system is a plus
    • Previous experience working with teachers in an educational environment and a solid understanding of school processes is preferred
    • Familiarity with PASI (Provincial Approach to Student Information)
    • Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Excel
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office and other productivity tools
    • Capable of lifting and moving heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs.)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
