- The Estimator will review specifications and provide accurate estimates for RFP and Design Build work.
- Read engineering drawings (including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, plumbing IFCs/IFTs) and specifications and develop HVAC control system estimates
- Select controls equipment and field devices to meet specifications
- Provide accurate and detailed project budgets and estimates, including options or change orders
- Remain up to date on estimating templates and all applicable labour, material, and equipment rates
- Remain familiar with new products, solution versions, upgrades, and compatibility
- Visit customer sites for estimate take offs.
- 3+ years of Building Automation Controls commercial solution/services industry experience required
- Be familiar with integration of various systems such as chillers, boilers, metering, and lighting panels
- Experience as a Building Automation Controls systems estimator, with experience using Accubid an asset
- Reliable Controls and Schneider Electric EcoStruxure systems experience preferred
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree an asset
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with other people
- Class 5 Driver license
