    Description

    Killam Apartment REIT (TSX:), is a growth-oriented real estate investment trust which owns, manages and develops multi-family residential properties in Atlantic Canada, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. Killam is focused on maximizing its value and long-term profitability through increasing earnings, expanding the portfolio through acquisitions, and developing high-quality properties in its core markets.

    We are currently searching for an experienced, professional and customer focused Construction Coordinator to support our Operations team at our Head Office in Halifax.

    What you will do:


    •Manage the Renovation Manuals and Specifications for all properties in terms of accuracy and completeness;


    •Provide support to Property Managers and their contractors throughout the construction process;


    •Have intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Sketch Up along with an ability to adapt to new technologies;


    •Prepare monthly reports on construction schedules;


    •Finding, employing, and managing contractors and sub-contractors with the goal of implementing strong standards of workmanship along with fair pricing;


    •Develop drawings to renovate units across Canada with a working understanding of AutoCAD;


    •Attend site visits locally and within the Maritimes and have a general willingness to travel;


    •Provide support for the existing supply chain and establish new supply chains in new markets;


    •Other duties may be assigned.

    Who you are:


    •Strong business and communication skills;


    •Excellent attention to detail;


    •Drafting, Sketch-up and Photoshop experience would be beneficial and some site work is essential;


    •Work well with others, sometimes under pressure;


    •Take initiative and find solutions to different issues and situations;


    •Strong aptitude would be valued over experience;


    •Have a valid driver's license and access to reliable vehicle.
