    Recruiter Specialist - North Vancouver, BC, Canada - Indigenous Perspectives Society

    Our client, a provincial crown corporation, is seeking an Indigenous Recruitment Specialist to join their growing team of Human Resource professionals.

    This role would play a critical role in executing recruitment and sourcing strategies to enhance the organizations employment brand and talent pipeline for Indigenous Peoples.

    You will help strengthen and develop various programs to continue to promote DEI initiatives, pipeline strategies, branding and vendor management.

    This role is a hybrid of working in-office and from home.
    Responsible for the design, implementation and evolution of Indigenous sourcing approach for the organization


    • Conduct outreach and engagement activities within Indigenous communities to connect with potential candidates and build trust and bring awareness of striving to have our workforce represent the communities we serve
    • Builds and manages a candidate pool and pipeline that supports the needs of the business and future skill gaps
    • Offer cultural competency training and resources to hiring managers to enhance their cultural awareness and minimize bias
    • Reviews workforce planning and succession planning initiatives in consultation with HR Business Partners and the business to assist with forecasting needs and building talent pools for future vacancies in critical roles
    • Leads the end-to-end Indigenous candidate sourcing activities such as strategic planning, external partnerships and sourcing events with a strong emphasis on inclusive hiring
    • Collaborate with HR and leadership to develop and implement strategies for Indigenous hiring and inclusion within the organization
    • Develops an approach for the organization's employer branding (e.g., social media strategy for Indigenous sourcing campaigns) and partners with corporate communications and marketing to execute the strategy
    • Collaborates with other HR Teams (e.g., Participates in the budgeting process for talent sourcing initiatives and supports the Manager, Talent Acquisition with portfolio budgeting where necessary
    Strong headhunting experience and proven ability to build talent pipelines


    • Recruitment experience within a recruitment agency or large complex environment with involvement in attraction strategy development and implementation is an asset
    • Human Resources, Business Administration, etc.)
    • Completion of courses or learnings related to inclusive hiring practices would be a strong asset
