- Serve as a trusted advisor within the HR team and the business in matters related to talent management, competencies, engagement, performance, and development.
- Partner with Human Resources Business Partner (HRBPs) team to help create relevant content that enables business leaders and HRBPs to have discussions around competencies, skills development, succession planning, talent identification and development planning.
- Work closely with functional and business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to build a deep understanding of current risks and enable identification and diagnosis of competency gaps which could affect the business from achieving its goals.
- Partner extensively with the Workday team to continuously enhance reporting functionalities and support for the end-users of talent and performance processes across the organization.
- Work closely with HRBPs and Manager, Talent, and Culture to support employee engagement/experience survey and organizational action plans.
- Support and track the implementation of performance management processes throughout the business, including goal setting, annual performance reviews, performance calibrations and talent review process in collaboration with HRBPs.
- Engage with HRBPs and business stakeholders to ensure programming and initiatives support individual and team competency development. Capture insights to continuously improve processes, tools, and resources.
- Support and co-ordinate programs planned to support the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy.
- Periodically review, refresh training content on performance process-goal setting, annual performance appraisals, performance calibration, and continuous feedback. Participate in the delivery of sessions for employees and managers.
- Monitor and publish talent metrics to measure talent program effectiveness to drive continuous improvements.
- Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of a feedback and learning culture within the organization.
- years of combined HR Generalist and Learning & Development experience with 4+ years of experience directly related to developing and implementing talent initiatives: performance development, career development, employee engagement, succession and/or change management.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Experience developing talent programs for organizations in oil and gas, resources or heavy industrial sector.
- Certifications in behavioral based assessments (, DISC), Certified Training & Development Professional (CTDP) and/or Certified Human Resources (CHRP) preferred.
- Familiarity with configuration and reporting in Workday Learning from both employee and administrator perspective.
- E-learn authoring tools such as Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise, Review)
- Vyond or similar video animation software
- Continuous learner with good conceptual thinking skills who can develop, present and/facilitate materials.
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of leaders and employees.
- Superior organization and project-management skills, ability to effectively multi-task and attention to details are critical. Deliver results on time and within budget.

Sr Talent and Development Specialist
Are you passionate about fostering the employee experience through exceptional Talent Development Programs? Reporting to the Manager, Talent and Culture, you will support the implementation of MEG's talent strategy, ensuring we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right roles, at the right time to meet our business objectives. As a trusted advisor in talent management, you will work collaboratively with the team to research, design, develop, and implement innovative and inclusive talent management programs such as MEG's competency program, employee engagement initiatives, performance management, and career development processes.
