    Requisition Details

    Support Staff Temporary Part-time Replacement Position (June 10, 2024 – July 4, 2025)

    The Part-time Support Services Officer provides a variety of clerical, customer service, and word processing functions in support of the College's administrative activities.

    The successful candidate will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus as required. It is anticipated that this position will meet the needs of the department through a hybrid work arrangement with three days on-site, and one day remote.

    Responsibilities:

  • Create assessment packages; Administer pre-assessments electronically
  • Complete initial registration of students in classes and CaMS system; Ensure student information in CaMS system is accurate and matches student file
  • Enter follow-up and TSA information, Milestones/Learning Activities, and referral information into CaMS system
  • Inform central staff of students exiting the program
  • Track and update attendance rosters; Receive and track phone calls/emails and other communication regarding student absences
  • Provide feedback on trends seen through inquiries and general class requests
  • Organize, order, and track supplies, ensuring purchases are within the budget amounts allocated by the Chair and ensuring sufficient supply of marketing materials and classroom materials
  • Organize/assemble course modules; Update existing course materials to AODA friendly formats
  • Ensure student files are kept up to date to meet Ministry requirements
  • Ensure all personal information is stored securely as per the Ministry guidelines
  • Be first point of contact for program; answer general questions about campus/college as appropriate and refer to central intake processes accordingly
  • Provide information and sign interested parties up for assessment/GED pre-test
  • Introduce and provide information on process for pre-assessments and assessments
  • Perform follow-up calls/emails with former students
  • Give information and handouts for Training Support Allowance; assist students in completing TSA request form
  • Orientation of new students, including completing Ministry-required registration forms

    • Qualifications:

  • Minimum One-year Certificate in Office Administration, Social Services, Business, Marketing, or a relevant field of study is required
  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience is required
  • Knowledge of computers and software (i.e., MS Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel) as well as general office practices such as purchasing, inventory, and writing skills to prepare correspondence
