    Accounting Manager Position

    Company: BWX Technologies

    Date: May 24, 2024

    Location: Cambridge, ON, Canada

    Job Purpose: Oversee general accounting activities within the BWXT Medical Business Unit. Responsibilities include managing financial transactions, month-end close activities, financial statements preparation, financial analysis, and research on accounting guidance related to the business.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead monthly, quarterly, and yearly close activities
    • Conduct financial statement review and analysis
    • Execute balance sheet account reconciliations
    • Perform cost accounting and fixed asset reporting
    • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
    • Provide input to cash flow projections
    • Establish internal controls for SOX compliance
    • Collaborate with auditors and handle external reporting

    Requirements:

    • CPA designation preferred
    • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
    • Interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
    • Integrity, initiative, and ability to navigate ambiguity

    Additional Details:

    • Base salary range: $86,000 - $132,000 per year
    • Travel required to other sites approximately once per quarter
