    We're on the lookout for someone unique. A Senior Communications Strategist with drive, passion and energy to create something great. Someone who's endlessly curious and driven by uncovering innovative ways to connect with audiences across a range of touchpoints.

    The Senior Communications Strategist manages and creates strategic communications initiatives while working to bridge the gap between media and creative. An integral part in the creation of customer journeys, engagement frameworks and campaign ecosystems, the Senior Communications Strategist works closely with creative teams, helping to bring campaign ideas to life in unexpected and innovative ways.

    This role requires a strong understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem and the role each tactic plays to help achieve desired business results – be it website development, online advertising, social media, mobile, etc.

    Responsibilities:

  • Drive digital strategy: advising on actionable strategies involving social media, mobile, website design / functionality, online media, etc.
  • Develop and present digital innovation/best practices both internally and externally: keeping abreast of trends, innovations, best practices, etc. in the digital space
  • Analyze data from a wide range of 3rd party research sources to distill insights, identify new opportunities and inform digital strategies
  • Clarify target audience behavior and how they interact and engage with digital marketing, including the analysis and presentation of performance metrics for brand initiatives.
  • Manage the creation of communications strategy deliverables including audience journeys, campaign ecosystems, engagement frameworks, moments strategies and tactical briefs
  • Forge relationships with internal members, across disciplines and departments (Creative, Strategy, Production, Account, etc.)
  • Drive collaboration with external IAT partners including media, PR and CRM agencies
  • Foster relationship with day-to-day clients, including presenting and selling through communications strategies
  • Work with creative teams to amplify their ideas via media strategy, tactics and creative thought-starters

  • Development and delivery of creative briefs
  • Ability to build narratives and present ideas in a compelling fashion
  • An understanding of media planning best practices
  • A passion for communication, creativity and how to get through to and connect with people
  • Minimum 5 years working in a strategic role within a creative agency
  • Have a proven track record of implementing holistic communications strategies;
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferred.
