The Investment Product Specialist (IPS) is a member of the Global Product team.The IPS collaborates with a broad group of functions across the organization, such as investment management, distribution, marketing, legal, compliance and operational groups, to position and support assigned capabilities with the objective of growing and retaining assets.
The role is responsible for all aspects of investment product management, including conducting product presentations and related macro insights, performing competitive analysis, supporting product development efforts, supporting the creation and maintenance marketing collateral, writing portfolio positioning and attribution commentary, as well as other ad-hoc activities.
Serve as the product expert on assigned capabilities to support MFS Canada's sub-advisory business with SLGI with the objective of retaining and growing assets under management.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the capital market environment, MFS investment process, portfolio positioning and performance attribution.Work closely with MFS Investment Solutions group to provide MFS' macroeconomic and equity and fixed income market insights to SLGI's Distribution Team and their clients and deliver these insights primarily through wholesaler-initiated advisor presentations and selected end investor presentations.
Conduct detailed competitive analysis to best position strategies in the marketplace.Collaborate with sub-advisory's distribution team to position MFS strategies successfully through appropriate investment strategy client messaging and leveraging best practices of MFS' US distribution team including external and internal sales and relationship management.
Bilingual in English and French language essential~ Bachelor's degree
~ CIM or Level 1 CFA preferred.
~The ideal candidate would have experience and expertise in a breath of market sectors and investment strategies.
~ Strong understanding of active investment processes, and the ability to effectively communicate an investment process to external audiences.
