As the Corporate Insurance Specialist, you will build relationships with the divisions of the Giampaolo Group, which includes Triple M, Matalco, Venture Steel, and Quantum Lifecycle, and will provide a first-class approach to service, standards, and key reporting requirements for both internal and external stakeholders involving the execution of insurance and corporate risk management activities.
The successful candidate will support the development and continuous improvement of the Corporate Risk Management strategy by providing advice, support, and reporting regarding the corporate risk and insurance program.
Key AccountabilitiesThe position will include the following responsibilities:
Manage company insurance policies as an in-house expert, ensuring effective ownership and management.
Collaborate with businesses to establish and implement best practices, controls, and recommendations for all insurance coverages.
Develop and maintain a premium allocation model for optimized insurance coverage.
Oversee property insurance, including site visits, outcome tracking, and trend analysis for risk identification and improvement.
Strategically manage insurance claims, overseeing loss settlements and making necessary adjustments.
Monitor and improve the claims funds process.
Cultivate and manage relationships with insurance brokers, insurers, consultants, adjusters, and stakeholders.
Assist with the insurance renewal process and provide underwriting information to the business leaders.
Candidate ProfileThe successful candidate will have the following:
Education:
Post-secondary diploma or degree in business administration, risk management or a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience in the P&C insurance industryCIP or CRM Designation would be an assetExperience:Ideally possess 2-5 years of experience in P&C and CGL insurance underwriting or broker experience, with a focus on complex CGL and property exposures
