    CPA Ontario is seeking a Vice President of IT Security to lead the charge in fortifying their digital defenses. As the guardian of the organization's cyber landscape, you will play a pivotal role in shaping their security strategy, mitigating risks, and ensuring the integrity of their operations.

    Reporting directly to the EVP & Chief Information Officer, you will spearhead the development of a robust IT Security risk management strategy. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and prioritizing potential threats, implementing safeguards, and continuously evolving their security posture to stay ahead of emerging risks.

    As the VP, IT Security, you'll craft a security program that aligns seamlessly with their mission, stakeholder risk appetites, and regulatory requirements. Your leadership will drive the maturation of their security control baseline while leveraging industry best practices. Your responsibilities will include establishing auditable processes, designing detection and response mechanisms, and leading IT Security awareness and education initiatives across all levels of the organization. You will oversee a dedicated team of professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring their effectiveness in tackling security challenges head-on.

    Collaboration will be key as you work closely with cross-functional teams, executives, and external partners to integrate security practices and ensure a cohesive security posture. You'll also manage vendor relationships, review contracts, and oversee the budget for IT Security, ensuring optimal resource allocation.

    To excel in this role, you'll need a minimum of 5 years' experience in IT security leadership, along with a proven track record in governance, compliance, and risk management. Your expert knowledge of IT Security principles and technologies will be instrumental in driving their security agenda forward.
