    Role overview

    What you'll do

    ·Gather, analyze, validate, and document precise business requirements from multiple sources, including stakeholders, SMEs, and customers.

    ·Translate elaborately defined business requirements into clear and actionable JIRA user stories, adhering to established formats and structures while accounting for non-functional aspects.

    ·Effectively communicate sophisticated business scenarios and system functionality in simple terms to facilitate shared understanding among multifunctional teams.

    ·Orchestrate the creation and maintenance of comprehensive requirement documentation, encompassing diagrams, models, specifications, test cases, release notes, and other collateral.

    ·Serve as the focal point for coordinating activities within the Project Management Office, guiding efforts to plan, execute, monitor, and report progress against agreed timelines, budgets, and quality targets.

    ·Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions aimed at generating consensus around priority topics, identifying alternatives, evaluating options, and selecting optimal paths forward.

    ·Participate fully in Agile ceremonies, contributing significantly towards shaping sprint goals, estimating effort, breaking down tasks, tracking velocity, and assessing overall health of projects.

    What you bring to the role

    ·Eight years of progressive experience in Business Analyst roles, demonstrating mastery of core BA functions and responsibilities. Leadership experience as a Team Lead or Team Manager is required.

    ·Extensive exposure to various Banking products and services, showcasing a thorough understanding of product constructs, feature sets, and market dynamics.

    ·High level of comfort operating in Agile or Scaled Agile contexts, exhibiting fluency in related terminology, ceremonies, roles, and artifacts.

    ·Skilled communicator adept at communicating tailored messages adapted suitably for target audiences, whether executives, peers, vendors, or end users.

    ·Mastery of documentation tools, templates, and styles, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

    ·Expert leader skilled in directing teams, mentoring colleagues, delegating assignments appropriately, and cultivating esprit de corps.

    Working arrangements

    We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

    This position requires both oral and written professional proficiencies in the French and English languages, as this position is required to provide services to clients and colleagues in English-speaking geographies.
