    Description

    Are you an experienced Developer with a passion for ensuring the optimal performance and availability of applications? We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our Calgary government client as a Senior Application Support Analyst on an initial 24-month contract.

    In this role, you'll be an integral part of the IT team, collaborating with clients, application support staff, infrastructure teams, and project delivery teams.

    Responsibilities


    • Develop and refine support models
    • Resolve application support incidents and user issues
    • Provide user training
    • Develop code/configuration fixes
    • Perform maintenance, enhancements, and operational support
    • Facilitate knowledge transfer and mentor staff
    • Estimate tasks, plan, and coordinate support activities
    • Review system requirements and technical documents
    • Create detailed support documentation
    • Identify, record, and track bugs
    • Ensure quality issues and defects are resolved
    Qualifications
    Essential Skills
    1) Five (5) years' experience as an Application Support Analyst designing, implementing, documenting, and supporting software solutions.

    2) Five (5) years' experience providing leadership to the application support team to ensure maintenance of high-quality service delivery in line with defined service level agreements.

    3) Five (5) years' experience with Java web frameworks preferably Spring framework, Spring boot and JavaScript frontend libraries like React, Angular, Vue and jQuery.

    4) Five (5) years' experience in database technologies, reports generation, and scripting in Oracle or PostgresSQL and performing analytics with Microsoft Power BI.

    6) Five (5) years' development and support experience in programming languages like Java and JavaScript.
    7) Five (5) years' experience developing and maintaining unit and integration tests, working with Git, Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Message Brokers like RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ
    8) Five (5) years' experience supporting applications in the cloud and on premise with debugging and problem-solving skills.
    9) Five (5) years' experience migrating data and deploying modules or components between Development, Test and Production environments.

    10) Five (5) years' experience generating the highest level of application support documentation, based on the application needs and other identified constraints.

    • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Knowledge of on premise and cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
    • Sound customer service skill set.
