    You'll plan, organize, and maintain the operation of the finance and accounting department including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

    You'll develop and enforce well-maintained financial documents, policies, systems, and internal controls ensuring compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
    You'll prepare and organize timely finance and accounting statements, summaries, reports, and other cost-benefit analyses, including year-to-date actuals, forecasts, and variance explanations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

    You'll collaborate with the Finance Manager and other members of the senior leadership team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with and support the company's objectives.

    You'll investigate and respond to all finance and accounting inquiries promptly and accurately.
    You'll ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax planning and filing.
    You'll work closely with external contractors, clients, and affiliate partners.
    You'll maintain relationships with banking partners, external auditors, and additional stakeholders in the financial industry.
    You'll support stretch projects and assist the team as needed.
    You'll wear many different hats in a lean, agile, and fast-paced culture.

    You have a minimum of 5 years experience working in a finance and accounting role within a tech startup, or fast-growing company environment, especially in Fintech and/or a B2C business.

    You have a BA in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field - or relevant professional experience.
    You have strong knowledge of federal and provincial laws, regulations, and ordinances pertaining to finance and accounting best practices.

    You can think on your feet ‒ no problem is too big and no question is too difficult ‒ you know how to find the right answers, online and offline.

    You have a strong command of financial planning and revenue technology tools including, but not limited to Quickbooks, data visualization tools, client dashboards, and more.
