    Position Title:
    Technology Manager, Enterprise Platforms

    Reports To:
    Head of Enterprise Platforms & Enterprise Architecture


    Term:
    Permanent Full-Time


    You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month.

    You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

    We are looking for a Technology Manager, Enterprise Platforms to join our IT Platforms team

    Equitable continues to invest deeply in digital capabilities and services.

    To this we are now looking to bring in a hands-on technology manager to lead this group of outstanding people in progressively evolving our Client Care capabilities.


    The Technology Manager role will manage and direct a cross-functional team that identifies, recommends, develops, implements, and supports IT solutions to support and enable strategic and tactical business goals and objectives.

    The role will manage and steward a set of technology assets within a technology platform, in collaboration with business and IT roles on solution design and development of systems, and applications that may depend on or are used by other platforms.

    The role will create and drive technical strategy and roadmaps for a set of technology assets within a technology platform.

    Own Platform assets
    Sets technical vision and roadmap for assigned assets within a platform to support and enhance business outcomes.

    Own the technical roadmap and deliver milestones for assigned assets by working closely with business, development, operations teams and Technical Platform Owner.

    Monitor, steward and advance the technical health and performance of assigned assets.
    Works with architects to develops the technology capability roadmap of assigned assets.
    Enable and guide team to deliver high quality solutions and/or services in a sustainable and optimized manner.
    Identify, document, continuously improve, and implement end-to-end software/service development, quality, delivery, and support processes.
    Accountable to ensure technical standards, guidelines, and principles are upheld by team.
    Own the technology KPIs and prioritization of assigned assets.
    People management, including hiring, coaching, recognizing, mentoring and performance managing team members.
    Hold team members accountable for deliverables and high-quality work.
    Monitor team productivity, quality, and morale.
    Spearheads and guides team through process implementation/changes.
    5+ years hands of relevant business technology experience, specifically in the Investments space.

    5+ year of hands on experience supporting an enterprise platform and contributing to KPI monitoring and maintaining the health of technology.

    ~Post-secondary degree or combination of equivalent education/experience in the following or related discipline: computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering
