    Description

    Overview

    Reporting to the Director, Revenue Strategy, the Designer, Brand Partnerships will be responsible for managing all design projects required by Oak View Group Canada's various business units tied to brand projects including a new venue development project, third party property sales, our brand consulting practice, and more.

    Our business development and consulting teams are required to present big ideas, complex marketing strategies and execution plans to the world's top brands, and we strive to always put our best work forward. Strong design, impactful visuals and eye-catching aesthetics are a critical part of our business. In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, our Designer will create bespoke, creative work for existing and prospective clients across Canadian markets from ideation through to completion. Liaising with the Director of Revenue Strategy here in Canada and the US-based OVG design community, the Designer will carve out an engaging visual identity for our sales products and develop engaging assets our stakeholders will love.

    You're a confident design professional with a well-trained eye and strong communication skills (especially written). You're organized, able to manage multiple projects at different stages of development, and always deliver the highest quality work. You're fast-paced and entrepreneurial with the drive to develop the design identity of an emerging/leading sports and entertainment organization. Big bonus points if you have experience in developing creative projects in the sports and/or entertainment industries.

    This role will pay a salary of $65,000 to $70,000.

    Responsibilities

  • Shapes and develops the design direction of OVG Canada, championing diverse projects from ideation through to completion.
  • Design original print and digital in-house and client-facing content, including but not limited to: presentations, illustrations, product mock-ups, one-pagers, infographics, etc.
  • Creates visual ideas to bring multi-faceted marketing and consulting programs to life for internal stakeholders, partners, prospects, and clients.
  • Maintains brand consistency across all projects.
  • Collaborates with business development and consulting teams to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Stays current on industry developments, tools, techniques, and aesthetics.

    • Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of design experience
  • Proven experience as Graphic Designer , Art Director, or similar role making content for print and digital outputs.
  • Experience providing top-quality engaging — in the sports, entertainment, and/or media markets.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment while managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with presentation building tools (., PowerPoint, Keynote,
  • Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to work across multiple colours, fonts, layouts, and brand guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Experience designing content in accordance with design accessibility guidelines and standards (AODA).
  • Experience in a marketing or sponsorships related role preferred but not required.

  • Graduate of an accredited Graphic Design program considered an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Arts, Visual Communication or relevant field considered an asset.
