    We are seeking a creative, dynamic, committed professional to join our team:

    Facilities Planning CoordinatorRideau Community Hub (formerly Rideau HS) 100% RegularMonday - Friday, 35 Hours per Week$75,949 to $96,944 (ESP Level 10, 12 months per year)

    Working under the general direction of the Facilities Planning Team Manager, the Facilities Planning Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day management and use of the Rideau Community Hub (located at the former Rideau High School), including access and security, acting as liaison between community agencies on site; preparing lease agreements and coordinating use of space; arranging for repairs and maintenance to the building. Assisting with leases, permits and reciprocal agreements within the District.

    Qualifications

    • Community college or university degree in Business Administration or related field of study; and 5 years of work experience in property management.
    • Sound knowledge of property management principles and building systems
    • Working knowledge of relevant Board policies and procedures, as well as an understanding of leasing (licensing) and basic financial processes.
    • Proficiency in word processing, databases and spreadsheet applications.
    • Interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills to interact with a variety of people/clients, respond to inquiries/requests, provide information/explanation and clarification. Ability to use tact, diplomacy and discretion.
    • Organizational skills, including time management techniques for planning and organizing work demands, and dealing with unexpected changes in daily work routines.
    • Must demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse stakeholders, including community agencies who support marginalized communities, and members of the communities they serve.
    • Experience in the preparation of complex documents; and analyzing and compiling information and data using excel spreadsheets.
    • Experience in managing the day-to-day operation of the building, including resolving complaints and problems.
    • Demonstrates sensitivity to diverse community groups and issues.

    Application Process

    Applications will be considered in accordance with the ESP Collective Agreement, in the following order:

    1.Applications from Regular full-time and part-time employees within ESP bargaining unit are given first consideration. (Internal Posting)

    2.Applications from term and casual employees within ESP bargaining unit are given 2nd consideration. (External Posting)

    3.Applications from External candidates (including Board employees that do not belong to this bargaining unit) will be considered only if applications from 1 & 2 have been exhausted.

    If you are a Regular part-time ESP member and also on the ESP Casual List, you will see both postings. However, you must apply to the "Internal" Job posting in order to be given 1st consideration.
