Forno Cultura is a 3rd generation alternative baking space with a keen interest in serving our communities with artisanal crafted and the highest quality landscape of offerings. Our culinary approach is centered around Cucina de la Campagna and seasonality that is so robust with our local food growers.
The ideal candidate for this position is a passionate and engaged pastry enthusiast with a love of food. You will have had previous experience in cooking preferably in the Italian landscape and capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively. You thrive in a busy production team and are a positive role model of professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prep and assemble ingredients for production
Be a team player and show strong morale for team-work within the culinary team.
Manage time well, and ensure prep lists are executed efficiently
Manage inventory
Maintain all standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations.
Follow stablished maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
Rotate stock items as per established procedures
Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
SKILLS
Ability to produce a quality product consistently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills
Ability to multi-task by handling various production demands
Ability to follow standard operating procedures
Strong organizational skills
REQUIREMENTS
Be an excellent communicator
Value being part of a busy and productive team
Be passionate about food and food history
Have at least 2-3 years of professional pastry baking experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $48,000.00-$53,000.00 per year
