    This role will report to the Manager, Financial Controls.

    The Financial Controls team is responsible for developing and maintaining effective financial controls through monthly financial reconciliations and monitoring processes.

    As a member of the Group Benefits Finance team, Financial Analyst will work to improve account reconciliation processes and financial controls, develop and maintain internal reports and Microsoft Office based applications.

    Review reconciliations prepared by Sr. Accounting Specialists to ensure they are accurate and meet tight company account reconciliation standards and Sarbanes-Oxley controls
    Prepare reconciliations, identify and resolve differences; prepare monthly account reconciliation reporting
    Make recommendations to management to influence decisions and support policy/process development
    Perform and/or review aging of Balance Sheet accounts to ensure payables/receivables are effectively managed and controlled
    Reconcile accounts from Oracle (current system) to SAP (new system)
    Provide training and technical support to Senior Accounting Specialists and other departments
    Coordinate and/or support internal and external audits
    Manages and/or participates in small projects and provide subject matter expertise
    Identify and implement process enhancements to increase team efficiencies and internal controls by using appropriate applications

    As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

    Comm. in Accounting, Finance or equivalent and accounting experience
    Accounting designation or actively working towards accounting designation; Excellent Excel skills; knowledge of Oracle Discoverer/Financial Analyzer, FOCUS, SAP would be an asset
