    Description

    Our client has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Survey Manager who specializes in Civil Construction to join their established team.

    In this role, the Survey Manager will serve as a team Leader who works on-site and in the office.

    They are responsible for overseeing layout operations across several projects, ensuring the precise layout of sleeves, anchors and other essential points using advanced measuring tools such as total stations.

    Additionally, this role will be utilizing CAD and BIM software to draft, review, and coordinate layout drawings before implementation on-site.

    Responsibilities


    • Lead and instruct a team of Site Survey Technicians.
    • Address and resolve issues encountered on-site and with software applications (such as Auto-CAD, Revit, and measurement tools).
    • Conduct site surveys using a Total Station device.
    • Create layout sketches using Auto-CAD software.
    • Conduct quality assurance checks on completed work.
    • Oversee maintenance of surveying equipment.
    • Ensure team compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Collaborate closely with relevant departments internally
    • Participate in project meetings.
    Qualifications


    • College or university degree or diploma in Civil Engineering is advantageous.
    • Background in Mechanical construction is beneficial.
    • Experience with total station
    • Possession of a valid G Class Ontario driver's license and a clean driver's abstract is mandatory.
    • Proficient in reading architectural, mechanical, and structural blueprints.
    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
    • Self-driven with aptitude for both independent and collaborative work.
    • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
