- Management of the overall accounting functions of the accounting team, ensuring we are working at the highest possible level of efficiency and accuracy.
- Preparing and facilitating weekly accounting team meetings to ensure that the communication within the accounting team is one of our core strengths.
- Prepare, review and present timely financial accounting reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to key senior leadership team members including invested partners, department managers and other stakeholders.
- Work with the CFO to ensure our monthly and annual budgeting process is in place and is active across all business units.
- Working with the CFO to consistently and constantly monitor cash flow.
- Manage the annual financial statement preparation process and all tax filing requirements for all corporate entities within the group.
- Evaluate and improve corporate internal control processes and procedures with particular focus on vehicle and parts inventory.
- Demonstrated experience in an advanced accounting role.
- Significant experience managing cash flow in a cash intensive business.
- Savvy technology skills including Microsoft Office skills (superior Excel knowledge), Google Suite, and a willingness to learn an automotive dealer management and accounting cloud-based system. Experience working with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or PowerBI would be considered an asset.
- Experience working in a growing business with multiple corporate entities would be considered an asset.
- Automotive retail experience would be considered a huge asset.
