    Description

    Waste Connections is currently looking for a full timeScaleAttendant/Laborer to work out our Concord district, ON. In this role, you will be eligible for overtime as you are projected to work 43-45 hours weekly.

    Responsibilities:

  • Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the Landfill.
  • Weighing trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers.
  • Track weight information fromscaletocomputer systemand get appropriate signatures.
  • Ensuring that incoming waste loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.
  • Work on and off your feet outside throughout your shift
  • Answers phone in a professional and enthusiastic fashion.
  • Performs fullclericaland general office duties.
  • Assisting with office duties,filingand paperwork as needed.
  • Ensuring that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Providing general upkeep of theScaleHouse.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy.

    • The ideal candidate will possess:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • On-the-job computer use/data entry
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to stand throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Ability to work outside at times in all weather conditions
  • Ability to climb, bend, and stoop to inspect containers.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Priorcash handlingexperience required.
