    You'll also be in an environment that helps you establish a positive work/life balance including flexible scheduling (such as completing your hours of work over 8 or 9 days instead of 10 in a two-week period and a number of amenities including a gym and full service cafeteria on site at our E-Division (Surrey) Headquarters.

    In this role you will be exposed to all levels of stakeholders including uniformed members, support staff, developers and more The anticipated intent/result of this process is to indeterminately staff (on a full time basis) one position.

    A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future permanent or temporary vacancies (including terms, actings, casuals, assignments and secondments) in similar-level positions (at full or part-time hours, including shift-work).

    Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

    Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

    Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience.

    Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience.

    At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum education stated above.

    Recent and **Significant experience implementing and maintaining a Microsoft server system environment
    Recent and **Significant experience implementing and maintaining LAN and WAN infrastructures and networking.
    Experience in configuration and maintenance of server backup software and disaster recovery solutions.
    Experience with application development or databases (SQL).
    *Significant experience refers to the depth and breadth of experience associated with the performance of duties over approximately 2 years or more. Knowledge of Windows Server Infrastructure


    • Knowledge of LAN / WAN infrastructure and networking technologies
    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing

    • Knowledge of Cisco networking equipment
    • Knowledge of IP cameras and video management systems Conditions of employment
    • Ability and willingness to work overtime and outside of business hours when required.
