    L&D Designer/DeveloperContract Duration 3+ Months (Extension possible)

    Job Description:

    The main function of the L&D Instructional Designer/Developer is to assess learning needs, consult, scope, recommend, design, and develop high quality, fully accessible, multi-approach blended learning and performance solutions supporting a complex, highly visible, fast-paced learning project that is running in agile with iterative design and development.

    They will be responsible for leading the design learning strategy and executing the vision of the learning program in consultation with stakeholders and the L&D pod.


    Key Accountabilities:
    Supports a highly complex agile learning project by iteratively assessing learning needs, recommending solutions broken down into 2-week increments, allocating work, and delivering timely, high-quality, consistent, learning solutions that positively impact business metricsAbility to synthesize, simplify, and communicate complex information and theoretical concepts while applying clear language principlesEffectively collaborates with multiple stakeholders at all levelsAbility to review source content and requirements and identify learning needsL&D Designer/Developer works directly with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to capture content-specific knowledgeDesigns and develops engaging, interactive blended learning solutions ensuring learning and performance objectives are metEnsures learning solutions align to the brand, learner accessibility, and principles of diversity and inclusion, leveraging established standards and guidelines and achieving success criteria while managing scope, risks and stakeholder engagement, and problem resolutionLeverages best-in-class common practices, agile processes, and measures across the design/development functionProvides deep subject matter expertise in learning and performance consulting, including knowledge of external best practices and emerging trends; maintains best practices in agile instructional design and development and program evaluation and measurementProvides design and development thought leadership around how to effectively design and develop in increments and/or industry knowledge and participates in knowledge transfer within the teamAbility to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlinesProtects the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard activities/concerns as necessaryMaintains a culture of risk management and controlAdapts quickly to change, effectively reprioritizing work based on shifting requirements and needs of the business

    Required Education:
    Educational background in Instructional Design / Adult Learning Certificate
    Must Haves:8+ years' experience as an Instructional Designer and DeveloperWorking experience designing and developing learning solutions on an Agile TeamDemonstrated ability to design and develop in iterationsAdvanced design skills in creating high-quality, fully accessible learning deliverables in all modalities (i.e. e-learning instructor-led - classroom & virtual materials; and self-led learning, etc.)

    Instructional Design and Development experience supporting the financial industry on complex, fast-paced transformational projectsAdvanced MS Office (PowerPoint & Word) experienceNice to Have:
    Skills developing eLearning and simulations using the Articulate 360 suite of productsSkills in developing videos using a variety of products (Adobe Suite, Camtasia, Vyond, etc.)

    Experience creating learning content supporting the nCino systemWorking experience writing and updating stories (work) JIRANote:
    Current experience assessing needs and designing and developing materials,Comes with FI experience – business banking, system-related training program - nCinoAbility to be on-site up to 3 days a week ( Mandatory )
