    Description

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Management of all day-to-day Estimating and Procurement activities of the Renovation Business.
    • Estimating costs and creating budgets for renovation projects.
    • Creating construction specifications for renovation projects.
    • Creating and administering purchase orders and change orders related to the initial contract.
    • Approving trade & supplier invoices pertaining to projects on a weekly basis in conjunction with the Project Coordinator.
    • Liaison with Interior Designers & clients to coordinate and price interior selections in conjunction with the Project Coordinator to provide a seamless transition to Production.
    • Attend regular site meetings.
    • Establish and maintain successful working relationships with suppliers and trade partners.
    • Lead in the preparation, coordination and awarding of tenders and other pricing quotes.
    • Working & negotiating with trades and suppliers on product pricing; and keeping internal pricing models up to date.
    • Coordinating a successful transfer of completed Projects to Project Coordinator once sales process is completed.
    • Work with the Project coordinator to review budget, estimating and design of projects
    • Manage the creation, maintenance, and execution of renovation purchase contracts & specifications.
    • Lead in the creation & execution of client Renovation Agreements.
    • Lead in the creating, and presentation of pricing, specifications, and options to clients.
    • Lead in the achievement and maintenance of project budgets.
    • Work with Project Coordinator to achieve on budget renovation projects.
    • Create and analyze budget and cost-to-complete reporting.
    • Assist in the creation of price estimates at the preliminary stages of the sale process.
    • Lead in creating and refining all renovation business policies, best practices, and processes to make Renova the premier renovation company in Calgary.
    • Maintaining up to date knowledge of current product availability and trends as it relates to residential design.
    • Administration of CRM and Project Management Software, (Buildertrend) as related to the role.
    • Strive to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Be prepared for and understand that occasional tasks may be required outside of your regular business hours.

    Required Attributes

    • Expert comprehension of all construction related paperwork including floor plans, engineering plans, construction specifications, selection and change order documentation.

    • Technology - able to use the majority of typical computer programs & devices with minimal help.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Post-Secondary Diploma
    • 5+ years of experience in an estimating role where regular client contact was expected.
    • Strong proficiency within Microsoft Office and Estimating & Building Programs.
    • Expert proficiency in reading and understanding construction plans and specifications.
    • Strong proficiency and understanding of standard residential construction practices & standards
