    About the Job Role

    We are currently seeking a full-time Accountant to join our Accounting Practice team. The Accountant will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting support to clients across various industries. This role involves maintaining financial records, processing transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the accounting practice team.

    We are looking for a proactive leader with a strong accounting background who excels at problem-solving. The ideal candidate should possess analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial transactions. If you are passionate about delivering value to clients and streamlining accounting processes using modern technologies, you could be the perfect fit for our team.

    Responsibilities

    As an Accountant at Business Sherpa Group, you will:

    • Oversee full-cycle accounting operations for multiple organizations, addressing their individual business needs.
    • Record and reconcile complex financial transactions, manage payroll processing, and review transaction streams.
    • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities for the accounting team.
    • Prepare financial statements, assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
    • Ensure adherence to accounting principles and standards.
    • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, maintaining accurate records.
    • Utilize various software tools for virtual services such as QBO, Sage 50, HubDoc, Plooto, Receipt Bank, and Excel.
    • Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff members.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with clients to address their specific accounting needs effectively.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in small to mid-sized organizations.
    • Accounting education from a recognized institution is preferred.
    • Proficiency in using multiple accounting software platforms and willingness to learn new tools.
    • Strong expertise in QBO and familiarity with Dext and Plooto is advantageous.
    • Experience in mentoring and training colleagues.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on problem-solving and ethical conduct.
    • Collaborative and organized with a commitment to client and team success.
    • Passion for driving efficiency and adding value to organizations.
