- Strategically grow the existing large domestic and international contract surety accounts
- Assist the Head Office team in the underwriting of the larger Contract Surety branch accounts including over line and branch authority requests and mentorship opportunities
- Assist the Senior Leadership team in special projects that may arise from time to time including committees and short-term projects
- Act as a subject matter expert on P3 projects and bond wordings, assisting branches as needed / appropriate.
- 8+ years of experience in Surety underwriting.
- Broad knowledge of business including governance, business risk, finance, distribution and reinsurance specific to the insurance/surety industry.
- Solid understanding of the construction industry.
- Ability to build trust and credibility with both internal and external leaders.
- Critical and creative thinking.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Understanding of business, underwriting and corporate risk management and mitigation methods.
- Strong ability to multi-task and handle conflicting priorities.
