Too Far & Too Fast

Too far and too fast

No future no past

No weak and no strong
No right or no wrong
No rules in the game
No gold in your claim
No power in your pen
Start all over again

No more valiant stands

No more promised land

No more bending the rules
No more suffering fools

No more turning back

It’s straight to hell, Jack

All your chances have passed
Too far and too fast

Too far and too fast

As the flag flies half mast

All your seeds have been sown
All your wild dreams have flown
And the future you make

Is the future you take

No respect for the past

Too far and too fast

You have reset the stage

For a brand new outrage

You have stolen the keys
Shortened eternity

And the future it brings

Is full of frightening things
Things you just can’t get past
Too far and too fast

Most of my ‘poetry’ writing has been done as lyrics for various composers I have worked with over the years.

Although poetry stands on its own, sometimes I wonder if it's better with some music, like a song. This definitely has what it takes for that. Cheers

A Gift We Can Give Every Day

One of the greatest gifts we can give someone is the gift of listening. I’m sure you’ve heard that before. I know I have. But sometimes it takes a real-life example to make ideas sink into our bones. That is exactly what happened to me yesterday. · ----- · If after reading this a ...

All work and no play, make Jack a dull boy!
