CPC Review: Bodyguard on Netflix

BODYGUARD BODYGUARD 3 SPUDS on NETFLIX GOOG BLURB: Afghani war veteran David Budd finds work as a police sergeant with the Metro- politan Police Service in London, in the Royalty and Specialist Protection branch. He is assigned to protect the home secretary, Julia Montague, a controversial and ambitious politician. MY TWO CENTS: | won't tell you any more than that about this series. But | will tell you this. | watched this a couple years ago, and | have en- joyed it even more the second time around. This series touches a lot of different bases in the thriller world and does so without any of the normal confusion that come with series that tell a complex story The Brits, of course, are very good at this kind of thing, and the mastermind of it all, a guy named Jed Mercurio, was also one of the brains behind the outstanding series, Line of Duty. Bodyguard is a high tension ride that takes you deep inside the systems of government and law enforcement. They are talking about a second series but who knows. Netflix has been up and down like a toilet seat lately.
