Disney and Florida's Idiot Politicians

See this place? It used to be a magical place devoted to giving kids a great fantasy experience. It was all about fun and scary rides and the whole heritage of a company devoted to the kind of harmless fantasy that children need in their lives. And inside this Magic Kingdom, it still is

Then along came the opportunistic Republicans who cast another kind of spell. The spell of toxic conservatism, which seems to be all the rage these days on the right wing side of America. Why they would pick on Disney of all organizations, simply because they refused to honour a some draconian 1984ish Republican "Don't say gay", idiocy is beyond me.

It's about time that someone stood up to these people and reminded them that America is still a free country where all people are created equal and discrimination like this is totally Un-American, despite the fact that it seems to be OK with a lot of Republicans.

The action by the Florida state government to change Disney's status in Florida is nothing more shooting itself in the foot, because now Disney will start legally dodging as much state tax as they can, and the state will become responsible for a lot of stuff that Disney was happy to pay for before they became targets of the Conservative menace that is stalking the country. Ouch!

Looking at it from the outside, America is starting to feel like some weird kind of Dumb and Dumber movie.
