See this woman? She an Afghani woman and right now there are many women just like her who are going to suffer unspeakably under the new fundamentalist power structure that is forming in the country. These women are strong and in a free country many of them would go on to have good lives, respected positions in society and be the matriarch of strong families. But this can't happen now, because in a fundamentalist islamic country, she will be considered a non-entity, a servant, a victim, even a slave. I have many strong women around me and I know the power women have. And the good they do with that power. Forget about politics or oil or geography. This is about humanity and this woman and countless others like her are now condemned to live a life that's really going to be no life at all.
