Once upon a time

A long time ago

I used to have a lover

And | loved her so

But time slips away

And lovers drift apart

But her memory’s always stayed
Right here in my heart

Once upon a time

We used to walk together

We lived inside a dream

| thought would last forever

But time comes and goes

And before too long

I was all alone

And wonderin’ what went wrong

Once upon a time

The sun used to shine

But now | live in darkness
With these dreams of mine
I dream she’s still with me
And everything's just fine
Just like it used to be
Once upon a time

Once upon a time

There was a lovesick fool
Who never quite got over
Losin’ his precious jewel

But the day will come

When | finally wake up to find
It’s time to leave

That once upon a time behind
