    Job Description

    Supports plant operation by providing administrative and clerical support.

    Primary Duties:

    1. Enters data from various sources to maintain and update databases and spreadsheets;
    2. Ensures data integrity by verifying input and calculations;
    3. Maintains organized computer and/or hard copy files for easy identification and retrieval;
    4. Maintains inventory of office supplies, first aid supplies and chemicals;
    5. Prepares purchase orders and order goods independently and for Supervisors, Maintenance Manager and Project Manager;
    6. Receives goods and processes invoices;
    7. Resolves payment problems for suppliers;
    8. Answers the telephone and provides basic information;
    9. Greets visitors and maintains Visitor Sign in Log;
    10. Completes forms and assists with Human Resource function;
    11. Assists with Health & Safety programs and recordkeeping.
    12. Preparation of various paperwork, including but not limited to invoices
    13. Corresponds with customers via email and provides basic information
    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

    • Experience in a Concur, Ariba environment would be an asset;
    • Experience and understanding of office functions;
    • Supports plant operation by providing administrative and clerical support;
    • Computer proficiency with good working knowledge of Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) and Word;
    • Understanding of basic accounting/AP cycle;
    • Pay close attention to details and present good planning, organization and time management skill;
    • Effective oral and written communications skills, good vocabulary, grammar and the ability to independently compose routine written communications;
    • Work effectively with interruptions;
    • Handle confidential and sensitive information or issues;
    • Good telephone etiquette;
    • Work in a team environment and willing to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.

    Work Environment:

    Permanent and full-time position, with working schedules from Monday to Friday, day shifts.

    The job holder spends most of his/her time in an office environment. The position may require prolonged periods of sitting; working on the telephone and/or computer, as well as interactions with other staff members and customers. The occasional handling of heavy boxes weighing up to 40 pounds may be required, and the job holder must lift and move office supplies if requested.
