    Manulife Investment Management is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Director of Strategic Partnerships to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to grow assets under management (AUM) and revenue across our most important clients. The role requires a deep understanding of the investment management industry, strong relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of driving growth through strategic partnerships. This is a global role and the successful candidate could be based out of North America, Europe or Asia. The role is responsible for developing our institutional business.

    The opportunity

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to grow AUM and revenue on Manulife Investment Management's most important clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organization.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing clients, including cross-selling and upselling investment products and services.
  • Lead on business planning and develop robust account plans for our key clients.
  • Develop a strong framework and approach for senior leadership engagement leveraging existing resources such as the World Economic Forum and the Geneva Association.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized investment solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to ensure alignment and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Represent Manulife Investment Management at industry events and conferences.

  • What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the investment management industry, with a focus on strategic partnerships and business development.
  • Proven track record of driving growth through strategic partnerships and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to influence key decision-makers - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex investment concepts to clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop customized investment solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
