    THE POSITION

    Working as a member of Keyera's Accounting Systems team in Calgary, the successful candidate will be responsible for tasks primarily associated within Keyera's Financial System. The Accounting systems group focuses on the day-to-day maintenance of records in the system as well as system upgrades. This group is undergoing an evolution of its current processes, to a more streamlined approach. This role requires administrative, technical and problem-solving skills.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Set up and maintenance of core master data in Qbyte. This includes setting up vendors, cost centres and ownership masters.
    • Conduct control checks
    • Liase with other business units in regard to BA changes
    • Review & Continuous Monitoring of Business Associates against sanction lists
    • Accounting and business process improvement projects in coordination with IT
    • Assisting IT with integration testing for system upgrades
    • Maintain desk manual
    • Create and manage BA reports
    • Complete monthly bank reconciliations
    • Managing EnergyLink BA records
    • Administer Corporate credit cards
    • Other relevant tasks/duties as required

    QUALIFICATIONS

    The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic and service oriented with the following qualifications:

    • Some knowledge or experience with Qbyte, Qbyte Optix and/or EnergyLink is required
    • 3+ years of relevant work experience in areas such as accounting, finance, or IT
    • Accuracy is a critical aspect of the role, and the right candidate is someone that is detail oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy, integrity and adherence to policy, procedures and controls
    • The Account Systems Analyst is a strong communicator with good listening, writing and verbal skills
    • The ability to be adaptable to change and handle a large volume of work in a fast-paced environment is essential
    • The right person is passionate about customer service, takes the initiative to understand their customer's needs and delivers results as per approved procedures
    • The successful candidate will have a strong proficiency in Word, Outlook and Excel
    • The right person is organized, proactive, motivated and has a strong work ethic
    • Previous experience with joint venture accounting is an asset
    • Previous experience with BA code set up, cost centers and/or accounts payable is an asset
    • Previous experience with report development is an asset
