The Administration Department in Thunder Bay provides valuable support to the Thunder Bay team and the rest of the organization.     The Role

    The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing the front desk, answering incoming calls, greeting clients or visitors in an efficient and courteous manner, general office support and assisting in other administration jobs as required.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Receive calls
    • Greet clients in a respectful and courteous manner
    • Receive and send out courier packages
    • Provide administrative support services to leadership team and other employees
    • Provide administrative support for the development and submission of time sensitive documents including reports, proposals, letters, memos and presentations.
    • Work with MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Visio and Outlook on a regular basis to assist with the preparation of reports and proposals.
    • Event plan for conferences, training activities and special events
    • Print proposals and reports in accordance with client requests.

    About You

    You have a professional manner, excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills combined with the flexibility to meet deadlines and changing priorities. You are technologically savvy with the ability to learn new systems and adapt to change quickly. You are also proficient in Microsoft Office applications as well as Adobe Acrobat. While previous reception experience in a busy environment is preferred, the right candidate would be accepted without previous experience.

    Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week)
