    As a member of the IMIT Sector's senior management team, your role will be to provide executive and operational leadership and strategic direction to the Centre's IT infrastructure services and systems.

    Overseeing multi-disciplinary staff, and driving the long-term plans and strategies relating to development, operationalization, monitoring and support of the Centre's Operations, IT infrastructure services and systems.

    ► The provision of excellent IM/IT Help Desk client services, as well as Cyber Security, technical security services and cyber response capability, to support the needs of Centre clients and stakeholders
    ► Ensuring alignment between the Agency's IT operational strategic direction, government policies and Centre modernization objectives.
    ► Managing the unit's human, financial and materiel resources with probity and transparency, establishing a work environment that is reflective of Public Service and Centre values in areas of equity, diversity and inclusion, while also promoting a culture of innovation, continuous learning/development and respect for others.     ► Where operationally feasible, senior leadership employees are expected to be onsite for a minimum of three (3) days per week, or 60% of the employee's regular schedule on a monthly basis.
    This position requires onsite presence at our headquarters located in downtown Ottawa (234 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa, Ontario). The intent of this process is to fill one (1) indeterminate position with a Bilingual Imperative (CBC/CBC) linguistic profile.

    A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established to staff similar term and/or indeterminate positions, with various language requirements, that may become available.

    Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution (ex. college, university) with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

    Extensive* and recent** experience leading an organizational IT Security and/or IT CyberSecurity program, including IT security architecture, IT security strategies and plans, risk management and mitigation, IT security configuration, IT continuity planning, as well as IT security standards.

    Experience managing an enterprise-level IT Service Desk/IT Help Desk including oversight and direction providing tiered technical support services and expertise to clients in relation to hardware, software, applications, connectivity and other requests for support, as well as in the management of technical services relating to IT incidents and problem resolution.

    Extensive* and recent** experience leading, managing and inspiring multidisciplinary teams.

    Experience in establishing and ensuring the effectiveness of processes and tools in the continued monitoring and assessment of an enterprise IT infrastructure environment.

    Experience managing human and financial resources.
    Experience establishing and maintaining effective collaborative business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

    Designation/Certification in a field relevant to Information Management/Information Technology (eg. Experience managing an IT Help Desk/IT Service Desk in a public service setting.
    Experience managing an IT Security/IT Cyber Security program in a public service setting.

    Experience managing a horizontal IMIT service (other than IT Help Desk/IT Service Desk/IT Security/IT Cyber Security) in a public service setting.

    Experience and/or designation/certification within the area of Change Management.

    Experience contributing to the development of Memoranda to Cabinet, Treasury Board Submissions or similar documentation for consumption by Canadian Federal Government Central Agencies.

    Computer science, information systems, IT and cloud architectures, IT hardware and software, service management and problem management.

    Service management and change management as applied to IT infrastructure development, the rollout of enterprise software, as well las of IT asset acquisition and related life-cycle management.

    IT security management, including IT security architecture, IT security strategies and plans, risk management and mitigation, IT security configuration, IT continuity planning, as well as IT security standards.

    Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.

    Ability to develop strategies, plans, services and systems that meet the evolving needs of modern internal clients and external stakeholders, while researching and seeking opportunities to evolve IT and cloud infrastructures to offer business value and operational efficiency.

    Ability to Manage operational planning required to support the implementation of major projects, establish project implementation strategies, schedules and plans, while ensuring the least disruption to client services and access to critical business systems and applications.

    Willingness and ability to work overtime on weekends and evenings occasionally, sometimes with short notice.
