    Position Overview


    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Agent to work directly with the broker on renewals and overflow of client files, including supporting our process from application through funding.

    The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

    As a Mortgage Agent, you will be responsible for renewal retention, overseeing the loan application process and managing customer relationships to ensure a seamless experience for our clients.


    Position Responsibilities:
    Retention of Portfolio


    Proactively contact all Mortgage Renewal clients to secure renewal/early renewalMaintain accurate and detailed notes to ensure clarity between borrower & Lesley's Mortgage Team.

    Explore current database to uncover potential client opportunities.

    Know Your Client (KYC)

    Review renewal files at specific periods before maturity date.
    Proactively develop, strengthen, and maintain relationships with borrower.
    Review credit reports and beacon scores for each file to verify current credit status.

    Effectively identify potential sales opportunities, by way of refinancing current mortgage balance, and/or consolidating current secondary financing, or outstanding debts.

    Identify client solutions in case of job loss/ illness etc.
    CRM maintenance of client files.

    Responsibilities

    Administer and oversee deals from start to finish.
    Provide weekly updates to the Broker.
    Ensure timely completion of File Set up and Pre-Approval.
    Request, collect, review, and manage documents from clients.
    Maintain compliant, organized, and orderly files with all necessary documentation.
    Evaluate client's financial status by analyzing income, credit history, tax information, and bank statements.
    Summarize applications and provide submission notes.
    Package and deliver customer information to financial partners (lenders) for pre-approval/approval.
    Respond promptly to client inquiries.
    Achieve all specified individual goals for referrals.
    Maintain professionalism when dealing with clients and partners.
    Handle calls with lenders and potential clients.
    Stay updated on industry and lender changes.
    Anticipate and collaborate with underwriters on conditions.
    Manage multiple client files with timely handling.
    Must have and maintain knowledge of current lender products to recommend feasible solutions to satisfy client needs.

    Risk and Compliance


    Evaluate and analyze documentation supplied by clients to ensure its authenticity and compliance with all aspects of industry policies and guidelines.

    Current knowledge and compliance of industry regulations.

    Formal Education

    Agent License Level 1 mandatory.
    Post-secondary degree preferred.

    Related Experience


    Previous industry experience mandatory (min 2 years).Current knowledge of regulations regarding mortgage lending and familiarity with both conventional and government mortgage policies are mandatory.

    Requirements

    Must have dedicated secure office space.
    Must have up to date computer and software.
    Must have reliable secure network.

    Pay

    Competitive pay structure to be discussed with selected candidate. Salary plus commissions.


    All members of Lesley's Mortgage Team must comply with all applicable and specific Mortgage Industry policies, standards, guidelines, and controls.

    Employees are also expected to understand and comply with the Standard Operation Procedures of Lesley's Mortgage Team.

    This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package.
