    Job Summary

    As a member of the Go-To-Market (GTM) Insights & Analytics (IA) leadership team, the role holder is responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, & availability of Revenue Operations (RevOps) Market Intelligence. Reporting directly to the Senior Director (Global Head) of RevOps GTM IA, you will oversee & guide the Market Intelligence team in researching, analysing, & delivering insights on market size, opportunities, threats, trends, competition, consumer sentiment, & customer/partner behaviours. Key responsibilities encompass developing stakeholders' comprehension of the market, customers, & EQIX Platform dynamics, & continuously enhancing intelligence capabilities, processes, & platforms to provide scalable insights that bolster teams' effectiveness, gain a competitive edge, & empower data-driven decisions to achieve predictable revenue acceleration through optimized customer experiences.

    Responsibilities

    Oversee & Guide Market Intelligence Capabilities & Best Practices

    • Provide strategic oversight & implement market intelligence capabilities, strategy, processes, & roadmap. ​
    • Guide & support the Market Intelligence team globally in research, analysis, & insights activation.​
    • Promote modern research & analysis practices for efficient delivery of market intelligence insights.​
    • Seek feedback to refine Market Intelligence team operations & improve the quality & relevance of insights.​
    • Monitor performance measures & KPIs for market intelligence, addressing deviations as needed, & continuously enhancing operations/offerings to support business objectives & ensuring value/ROI.

    Conduct Thorough Research & Analysis

    • Collect (& manage with DataOps) high-quality data from reliable sources (internal databases, external supplier market reports, data, surveys, sentiment, etc.) that align with research & analysis objectives. ​
    • Apply appropriate techniques to uncover relevant patterns, trends, relationships, & key findings. ​
    • Extract insights & partner/interlock with Corporate Strategy & Development team to recommend strategies for decision-making & strategic planning in the data center, interconnection & digital services domains.​
    • Effectively communicate findings through tailored reports, presentations, visualizations & scalable insights activations mechanisms to meet stakeholders' needs in a clear, concise, & engaging manner.

    Empower Stakeholders

    • Identify users' goals for market intelligence to inform decision-making & implement tools/technologies for self-service access with DataOps. ​
    • Create comprehensive data products & an insights knowledge base/platform with user-friendly interfaces to support self-service data exploration & analysis. ​
    • Establish a systematic feedback process incorporating inputs from multiple teams & sources to enhance & customize market intelligence.​
    • Drive adoption through effective communication, insights activation initiatives & conducting training sessions to enhance stakeholders' understanding of market intelligence concepts & applications. ​
    • Position the Market Intelligence Team as trusted advisors, guiding stakeholders on data interpretation, analysis techniques, and best practices to extract insights for informed decision-making.

    Lead & Manage

    • Manage Market Intelligence teams' performance through prioritization, engagement, & coaching.​
    • Drive people development strategy, including location-based & hybrid-virtual initiatives.​
    • Provide transformational leadership & guidance for escalations & interlocks with other stakeholders.​
    • Build Market Intelligence managed processes based on industry best practices for EQIX's best-in-class approach.​
    • Model Equinix cultures & values.​
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, & development opportunities to enhance teams' skills & capabilities.

    Qualifications

    • Preferred data center, interconnection & digital infrastructure services market research experience, including data gathering, trend analysis, competitor assessment, customer behaviors & opportunity/risk evaluation. ​
    • Demonstrated success leading diverse global talent pools, promoting collaboration, driving innovation, & fostering continuous improvement.​
    • Proficiency in utilizing digital market intelligence tools, data analytics platforms, & business intelligence software is essential.​
    • Proven expertise in stakeholder management, supporting decision-making through clear & persuasive communication of intel, insights, & recommendations to senior management & cross-functional teams.​
    • Strong understanding of platform & ecosystem business models, & their distinct approaches to leveraging networks & interactions for value creation.​
    • Knowledgeable about collaborative partnerships among cloud providers, NSPs, & tech vendors, focusing on critical partnerships that impact data center operators like Equinix & their market presence. ​
    • Proven track record in building & delivering both scalable self-service market intelligence insights activation programs & managing local/regional support for intelligence/insights needs for specific business requirements.​
    • Commitment to open-source transformation, continuous learning, & staying updated with industry trends, relevant regulations, & best practices.​
    • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business Management &/or Administration, Economics, Statistics, Market Research, or similar). Optional: Certified Market Research Professional (CMRP), Certified Competitive Intelligence Professional (CCIP), or similar.
