    Opportunity

    MacEwan University is looking for two (2) Customer Service Representatives for Casual opportunities with the Sport and Wellness department. MacEwan University is hiring a full-time continuing Customer Service Representative for the Sport & Wellness Department. As a Customer Service Representative I, you will deliver top-notch front-line service to the guests of MacEwan University Sport and Wellness in a welcoming manner that fosters a sense of belonging for all individuals and groups coming to the facility. This includes students, employees, and the general public.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Monitoring and coordinating access throughout the facility
    • Identifying customer needs and suggesting appropriate services
    • Completing registration and maintenance processes for memberships, parking, locker rental/towel service, courses and services, pro shop sales, etc.
    • Participating in managing tasks like equipment rentals, laundry, basic cleaning, access to classes, etc.
    • Handling customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints effectively with conflict management skills.

    Skills

    Requirements include:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and time/conflict management skills
    • Ability to work with a diverse range of clients and colleagues
    • Perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail
    • Work independently without direct supervision
    • Proficiency in computer skills, familiarity with software like Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and SharePoint

    Qualifications

    • One-year college certificate, preferably in physical education and/or public relations
    • Minimum one year of experience
    • Experience in customer service, financial transactions, and fitness/physical education fields
    • Knowledge of IntelliManager software considered an asset
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience

    Position Requirements

    • Current certifications in Intermediate First Aid/CPR C, Oxygen Therapy Certificate (asset), Automatic External Defibrillator
    • Flexible work hours, including shift work, rotating schedules, evenings, and weekends
    • Candidates must undergo a Police Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check at their own expense
